Scanstrut Low Profile waterproof cable seal DS-LP-30-BLK routes one round cable safely through a deck, hardtop, roof, or any other solid mounting surface. This variant is manufactured from black anodized aluminum and fits cables Ø 9–14 mm as well as pre-fitted connectors with a maximum outer diameter of Ø 30 mm.
The split-seal design allows for installation without having to remove the connector first. A tapered cable seal and a closed-cell base gasket ensure a watertight cable passage. Correct installation provides an IP68 rating and a 100% waterproof seal.
The low-profile design has a visible mounting height of only 6.5 mm above the mounting surface. The cable seal has an outer diameter of 75.6 mm and requires a central mounting hole of Ø 44 mm. It can be mounted both vertically and horizontally and is suitable for cables for solar panels, light bars, and roof-mounted electronics, among other applications.
The housing is made of UV-resistant, black anodized marine-grade aluminum for outdoor and maritime environments. Threaded holes and captive nuts facilitate assembly and allow the unit to be disassembled and reassembled repeatedly.
Four cable seals are included: pre-drilled seals for Ø 9, Ø 11, and Ø 13 mm cables, as well as one blank seal that can be customized. When customizing the blank seal, the hole should be drilled approximately 1.5 mm larger than the cable diameter. The product's specified cable range remains Ø 9–14 mm.
The package contains the top section, base section, four cable seals, base gasket, four no. 6 × 19 mm screws, and four countersunk M4 × 6 mm bolts. For soft materials, Ø 2.5 mm pilot holes are recommended, while fiberglass, hardwood, and acrylic require Ø 3 mm. For metal mounting, use Ø 4 mm holes and appropriate M4 fasteners. The main seal does not require full encapsulation in marine sealant, but the installation instructions must be followed by applying silicone at the indicated fastening points.
