This Scanstrut PowerTower aluminum radar mount, 150 mm is model APT-150-01 in a white finish. The raised mount is designed for installing radomes and small satellite antennas on motorboats where the antenna needs to be positioned for a clearer view of the horizon.
The PowerTower features a 25° backward incline and can be mounted on cabin roofs, T-tops, flybridges, or radar/instrument arches. The construction is made of marine-grade aluminum and treated with a four-step marine painting system along with a gloss polyester powder coating that protects the surface in maritime environments.
The mount has a product height of 150 mm, a top plate of approximately 290 × 280 mm, and a lower mounting plate of 177.8 × 177.8 mm. The center-to-center distance between the four deck mounting holes is 127 × 127 mm. The pre-drilled top plate features multiple holes and slots so it can be used with proven radar and antenna models.
The integrated DS30 cable seal provides watertight and concealed cable routing through the mount. The included split grommets adapt to different cables, and existing connectors can be fed through without being cut. When correctly installed with the included seal, loose marine sealant is not necessary. Alternatively, the cable can be routed out through the side using a blanking plug and weather seal.
Mounting to the boat's surface requires four M8 fasteners of at least M8 × 25 mm; these are not included and must be selected based on the structure of the surface. Ø8.5 mm holes are drilled for the fasteners and Ø50–52 mm for internal cable routing. The kit includes M6 and M4 screws, M8 nylon isolation bushings, a foam seal, a cable entry grommet, a blanking plug, a DS30-P-SHELL cable seal shell, a DS30 grommet kit, and a weather seal for alternative cable routing.
Compatibility
The mount is compatible with selected radomes from Garmin, Lowrance, Raymarine, and Simrad, as well as Navico 3G/4G and smaller KVH antennas. Documented models include, among others, B&G HALO20, HALO20+, and HALO24; Garmin Fantom 18/24, GMR 18HD, 18xHD, 18HD+, 24HD, 24xHD, and GMR 40; Lowrance 3G, 4G, and HALO20/20+/24; Raymarine Quantum, Quantum 2, RD218, RD418, RD418HD, RD424, and RD424HD; Simrad 3G, 4G, DX45, DX60, DX64-S, GB40, NX40/45, NSE8/12, and HALO20/20+/24. It can also be used with Humminbird HB 2124 CHIRP, Sitex RADARpc-4D, as well as KVH TracPhone V3-HTS/V30 and TracVision M2, M3, TV3, and V3. Always check the current radar's mounting pattern before installation.
The PowerTower can be expanded with separate accessory bars for GPS, VHF, and navigation lights. Documented accessories include APT-LB-01, APT-GPS-01, APT-LB-GPS2-01, and APT-LB-L1. A PT3010 4° base wedge can be used to correct the radar's tilt during planing. Accessories are not included. The product has a 3-year warranty.
