This Scanstrut ROKK Mini adhesive mounting base is a compact base for flush mounting of the modular ROKK Mini system. RLS-404 is designed for marine applications and allows for an installation point to be established without drilling holes into the surface.
The base is attached using a 3M adhesive solution. The protective layer is removed, after which the base is pressed against a properly prepared surface. The mounting surface must be smooth, clean, and non-porous; suitable surfaces include GRP/fiberglass and polished metal, among others.
The mounting base is made of marine-grade black plastic and has a square footprint of 84 × 84 mm. The design is intended as the base part of a ROKK Mini system and must be combined with the adjustable RLS-AM mounting body as well as a suitable device holder or top plate.
The complete system can, depending on the chosen holder, be used for smartphones, tablets, GPS devices, small fishfinders, digital cameras, action cameras, small displays, and VHF units. The base alone does not hold an electronic device directly.
A documented mounting configuration with the RLS-404 base, adjustable body, and top plate has a maximum load capacity of 1.2 kg at dynamic loads of up to 6g. The load value applies to the complete illustrated configuration and not the base in isolation. The product comes with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.
Supplementary products
The adjustable mounting body with item no. 23.404.00 and manufacturer number RLS-AM is used between the base and the device holder. Documented holders include the phone/GPS holder 23.404.10 / RL-509 for device widths of 45–95 mm and the tablet holder 23.404.11 / RL-508 for device widths of 125–220 mm. The system also includes the RL-510 for action cameras and the RL-511 with a standard camera connection.
