Scanstrut SC20 mast mount for radar/radome is a white, fixed platform for mounting approved radar radomes and selected smaller satellite and TV antennas on a sailboat mast. The mount is manufactured from marine-grade aluminium and protected by a 4-step marine paint system.
The mount is attached to the mast with four swivel feet, which can be adapted to different mast profiles. A 12-point fixing with included Monel rivets provides a stable connection to the mast, while the design positions the antenna as close as possible to the front edge of the mast. The radome is attached to the pre-drilled platform using the radar manufacturer's own bolts and washers.
The platform's flat mounting surface measures 395 mm in length and a maximum of 263 mm in width. The internal width at the front part of the platform is 233 mm. The visible platform holes are Ø 9.5 mm, and the minimum mast width is 65 mm. There is no fixed maximum mast width.
During installation, 12 holes of Ø 4.8 mm are drilled for the mast feet and an additional two holes of Ø 4.8 mm for the safety line eyelet. The cable gland requires a hole of Ø 23 mm and must be positioned in relation to the cable exit on the installed radar or antenna. The bolts on the swivel mast feet must be tightened to 7 Nm.
The mount is intended for aluminium masts with a wall thickness of 2-5 mm. Z-Spars, Eurospars, and Isomat masts require the Scanstrut adapter kit 50100. Mounting on a wooden mast is possible with a suitable alternative fastener instead of the included rivets. For carbon fibre masts and other mast materials, the mast or rig manufacturer must be consulted before installation.

Documented compatibility includes B&G 3G/4G, HALO20 and HALO20+; Garmin Fantom 18, GMR18HD, GMR18xHD, GMR18HD+ and GMR40; Humminbird HB 2124 CHIRP; Intellian i3, FB150 i i3, FB250 i i3 and FB250R i i3; KVH TracVision M2, M3, TV3 and V3 as well as TracPhone V3-HTS and V30; Lowrance 3G/4G, HALO20 and HALO20+; Raymarine Quantum, Quantum 2 and 37STV; Sea-Tel Coastal 14 as well as Simrad 3G/4G, DX45, HALO20 and HALO20+. Raymarine cross-reference A80382 applies to the white SC20 for Quantum.
A stainless steel safety line with an eyelet is included and must connect the radar to the mast. It secures the unit if the mounting is damaged or released due to overload, impact, or entanglement in sails and rigging. The mount must only be used with approved radomes under normal sailing conditions and must be regularly checked for damage and loose parts. The Scanstrut radar guards SC27 and SC28 are not compatible with SC20.
The delivery includes, among other things, four white swivel mast feet, 12 pcs 4.8 × 16 mm rivets, two pcs 4.8 × 12 mm rivets, four M6 × 45 mm stainless steel bolts, four stainless M6 Nyloc nuts, eight 6 mm stainless steel washers, white nut caps, cable gland, eyelet, and stainless safety line. The replacement kit Scanstrut 15001 can be used as a spare part set for the mast feet. The product has a 3-year warranty.
