Waterproof dual USB charger socket from Scanstrut in the ROKK Charge+ series is a panel-mount charging socket with two USB-A ports. It is designed for simultaneous charging of up to two USB devices from a 12 or 24 V DC system and has a low profile, which is suitable for navigation and instrument areas.
Each USB-A port delivers 5 V DC and up to 2.1 A, while the total maximum output current is 4.2 A. The charger socket accepts an input voltage of 10–32 V DC, has a maximum input current of 2.5 A, and a standby consumption of 0.01 W. Smart Charge Technology supports faster charging than standard USB sockets.
The Click & Lock lid can close around one or two connected cables. The design is IPX6 rated with zero, one, or two cables connected, when the product is correctly mounted on a completely flat, smooth, and non-porous surface. The charger socket must not be submerged and, if mounted outdoors, must be placed securely above the waterline.
The housing is made of UV-resistant ASA plastic with a neoprene gasket, while the hinge, spring, and other metal components are made of AISI 316 stainless steel. The electrical circuit has a corrosion-resistant coating against salt exposure. The product measures 94 × 39 × 29 mm with the lid closed and requires 34 mm of clearance depth behind the mounting surface. With the lid fully open, the total length is 152 mm and the maximum height is 47 mm.
Mounting is performed through a Ø29 mm panel hole in a 3–25 mm thick panel. The unit is passed through the gasket and the panel, fastened from behind with the locking ring, and secured from the front with the included screw. The center distance from the main hole to the screw hole is 43.5 mm. A gasket, locking ring, and a No. 6 × 16 mounting screw are included.
The electrical installation must be carried out with the power supply disconnected, correct polarity, and a waterproof connection. A suitable fuse or circuit breaker must be installed between the power source and the charger socket. The product must not be installed in hazardous or flammable atmospheres and should be mounted with sufficient ventilation, away from heat-radiating equipment. It is CE, RoHS, and UKCA certified and meets EMC Directive 2014/30/EC.
