This Scanstrut Ventura dual USB-C charging socket is a flush-mount, weather-resistant socket with two USB-C ports for charging in boats, vans, campervans, motorhomes, and off-road vehicles. It connects to a 12 or 24 V DC system and accepts an input voltage of 10–32 V DC.
The two USB-C ports deliver up to 3 A per port and a maximum of 60 W in total. With a 12 V power supply, output profiles of 5 V, 9 V, and 12 V are supported at up to 3 A. With a 24 V power supply, 15 V and 20 V are also supported at up to 3 A. The socket is designed for charging QC and PD compatible USB-C devices, including phones, tablets, laptops, cameras, and other compatible equipment. Standby power consumption is 0.01 W.
The front is made of matte black, UV-resistant plastic, while screws and specified metal parts are made of AISI 316 stainless steel. The spring-loaded lid has a click-to-close mechanism and can be held open at approximately 90°. With the lid fully closed, the front is rated IP68 and IP69K, protecting against water, dust, and high-pressure washdowns. The product must not be mounted in a location where it may be partially or fully submerged.
The front measures 60.3 × 68 mm, and the protrusion in front of the mounting surface is 16 mm with the lid closed. The rear housing has a diameter of 30.2 mm, while the dimension behind the mounting surface is 55.3 mm to the end of the main housing and 65.4 mm to the end of the terminals. Mounting requires a main cutout of Ø32 mm as well as 122 mm of clearance so that the lid can be opened fully.
The socket is flange-mounted on a flat, smooth, and non-porous panel surface using four included No. 6 screws and an integrated gasket. The rear-facing electrical connections are 6.3 × 0.8 mm spade terminals with marked polarity. Power must be disconnected during installation, and the circuit must be protected with a suitable fuse or circuit breaker. Electrical connections must be made watertight, and the screws must not be overtightened.
The product is CE, RoHS, FCC, C-Tick, and WEEE marked and complies with EMC Directive 2014/30/EU. A 3-year non-transferable manufacturer's warranty is provided. The product contains no user-serviceable parts.
