This Scanstrut Ventura quick-release cold water outlet with washdown kit is a flush-mount outlet for pressurized cold water systems in boats, sailboats, motorhomes, campervans, and off-road vehicles. The kit is suitable for applications such as deck washing, rinsing fishing and diving gear, and cleaning tenders and dinghies.
The self-closing quick-release coupling can be connected and disconnected with one hand. The hose is pushed in until it clicks, and released via the knurled push-to-release collar. The valve closes automatically when the hose is removed. The stainless steel spray head features a lockable start/stop trigger, and the spray pattern can be adjusted by twisting the nozzle.
The front is made of UV-resistant polymer, while the quick-release coupling is made of nickel-plated, lead-free brass. Mounting components are made of marine-grade 316 stainless steel, the hand shower is stainless steel, and the 3 m coiled hose is made of PU. The spring-loaded click-shut lid stays open at 90° and provides a compact, low-profile front when the outlet is not in use.
The front measures 110.2 × 69.3 mm with the lid closed and protrudes 16 mm from the mounting surface. The installation depth to the end of the water inlet is 48 mm, while the total vertical space required for full lid opening is 126 mm. The flange is mounted with four screws and an integrated seal. The cutout consists of two overlapping Ø38 mm holes with a center-to-center distance of 32 mm, and the screw hole spacing is 94 × 38 mm.
The water inlet at the rear has a 1/2" BSP male thread. The maximum system pressure is 8 bar, while a regulated operating pressure of 2-3.5 bar is recommended. The outlet is designed for pressurized fresh/cold water systems and must not be connected directly to a high-pressure residential water supply. A suitable 1/2" BSP female fitting, thread sealant, and a shut-off valve must be selected for the specific installation.
The IP68 and IP69K protection ratings apply to the front when the lid is fully closed, the outlet is not in use, and the product is correctly mounted on a flat, smooth, and non-porous surface. The outlet must not be placed where full or partial submersion may occur. The kit comes with an outlet housing, hand shower, 3 m PU coiled hose, storage bag, four flanged No. 6 screws, and a sealing washer. The hose must be disconnected after use, and the system must be completely drained during winter storage or extended periods of inactivity.
