Scanstrut vertical cable seal in grey plastic DS21A-P is designed for the watertight, vertical routing of a single cable with a diameter of 4–9 mm. The opening provides space for a pre-fitted plug or terminal connector with a diameter of up to 21 mm, so the connector does not need to be removed during installation.
The dome-shaped design features a rounded profile with no sharp edges. This protects the cable entry from impact and reduces the risk of lines or other equipment getting snagged. The outer dome, the tapered sealing insert, and the closed-cell base seal form an IP68-rated seal when installed correctly.
The cable seal is made of grey, impact-resistant, UV-stable, and hard-wearing plastic. The maximum outer diameter is 49 mm, the diameter at the mounting base is 45.7 mm, and the installed height above the surface is 20.5 mm. Installation requires a Ø21 mm mounting hole and is intended for surface mounting on a flat surface above the waterline.
The kit is supplied with four sealing inserts: pre-drilled inserts for Ø4, Ø5, and Ø7 mm cables, plus a blank insert that can be drilled for other cable diameters within the 4–9 mm range. The blank insert can be cut radially so that it can be fitted around an already terminated cable. Captive nuts in the base allow the cable seal to be removed and refitted multiple times.
The delivery includes the dome, base, base seal, four sealing inserts, three No. 6 × 16 self-tapping screws, and three M4 × 10 bolts. When mounting, use silicone around the base and fixing points, while the sealing insert itself does not require sealant. The product is supplied individually and has a 3-year warranty.
