This SCM elliptical opening porthole in AISI 316 stainless steel from the Leggera series is designed to provide daylight and ventilation through the hull or superstructure. The porthole has nominal external dimensions of 510 × 250 mm and a clear opening of 420 × 160 mm.
The frame and included counter-flange are manufactured from high-gloss polished marine-grade stainless steel. The 10 mm thick pane is made of smoked, bronze-tinted PMMA/acrylic and opens with three locking handles. An adjustable friction mechanism holds the pane in the desired position, and the hinges provide an opening angle of up to 180°.
The black EPDM gasket ensures a seal between the pane and the frame. The porthole also comes with an insect screen, allowing the opening to be used for ventilation with reduced insect access. The counter-flange's hidden screws provide a clean finish without visible external mounting screws.
The mounting cutout is 460 × 200 mm, and this variant is intended for a hull or wall thickness of 20–25 mm. Watertight mounting requires a flat contact surface and careful sealing during installation. Mounting screws are not included.
The porthole is designed for boats and vessels up to 24 meters. It is CE-marked with area (2), category 1. The technical model designation is Elliptical Light 160 × 420, also referred to as San Remo.
