This self-priming macerator pump for blackwater, 47 l/min is an electric 24 V DC pump for emptying marine holding tanks containing toilet waste. The macerator section shreds toilet waste and toilet paper, after which the pump section discharges the material through the outlet hose.
The pump delivers a nominal 47 l/min and 33 l/min at a 3 m head. It can self-prime with up to 1.2 m vertical lift and can therefore be mounted above the tank, but should be placed as close to the tank as practically possible. The inlet is designed for 38 mm (1½") non-collapsible hose, while the outlet requires at least 25 mm (1") internal hose diameter.
The 24 V DC motor has a power consumption of 9 A and is designed for intermittent duty. The motor must not run continuously for more than 15 minutes, and dry running must not exceed 30 seconds. The pump must be switched off immediately when the change in pump sound indicates that the tank is empty.
The Maxi version features a metal pump housing and a flexible rubber impeller. The product measures 260 × 140 × 90 mm, and the mounting points have a hole spacing of 85 × 60 mm. All connections on the suction side must be airtight and made without sharp bends or restrictions, as air leakage can prevent self-priming and lead to damaging dry running.
The pump is CE certified and complies with ISO 8846 as well as the requirements of Directive 2013/53/EU. If the outlet is routed through the hull below the waterline, the installation must be carried out with a vented loop that remains securely above the waterline at all relevant angles of heel and trim. Discharge from the holding tank must only occur where legal.
The pump is designed for toilet waste and toilet paper and must not be used for rags, sanitary pads, or hard solid objects. The tank and pump should be flushed with plenty of water after emptying.
