This self-adhesive sealing profile is a black, hollow EPDM profile for sealing around hatches, doors, lids, and other openings. The profile is supplied as a 25 m roll and has a cross-section of 10.3 mm in width and 11.4 mm in height.
The closed and rounded hollow profile can be compressed when the opening is closed. It is suitable for, among other things, cabinets, storage compartments, lockers, boat holds, engine enclosures, and access openings to engine rooms, where a flexible sealing profile is needed.
The profile has a flat mounting side with factory-applied 3M 5608 adhesive tape with a width of 6 mm. The tape is a double-coated acrylic foam tape with a nominal thickness of 0.8 mm and is developed for attaching seals and other elastomer components, including EPDM.
The nominal wall thickness of the profile is 1 mm, while the bottom profile and base section measure 6 mm. The self-adhesive design allows the profile to be mounted directly onto a suitable contact surface without separate mechanical fasteners.
