This self-adhesive sealing profile is a black EPDM profile for sealing around doors, hatches, hatch covers, storage compartments, cabinets, engine boxes, and access openings. The profile is supplied as a complete 25 m roll and has a nominal cross-section of 17.5 x 16.9 mm.
The profile has a hollow, roughly D-shaped cross-section with a rounded top and a flat mounting surface. The design makes it suitable as a sealing profile for openings and closures where a continuous EPDM profile is desired between adjacent surfaces.
Installation is carried out using the factory-applied, double-sided 3M 5608 tape on the flat underside of the profile. The adhesive tape measures 6 x 0.8 mm. The cross-section also shows an upper profile wall of 3 mm and a lower, base-shaped part of 4 mm.
The self-adhesive installation does not require a separate mounting kit. The profile can be used for general sealing tasks on board, including around hatches, storage compartments, and engine boxes, but is not tied to a specific boat model or installation.
