Universal engine ignition safety stop system with a complete safety stop switch and a removable safety key. The system functions as a dead man's switch and interrupts the engine's ignition function when the safety clip is pulled free from the switch.
The switch function can be adapted to different ignition circuits. Depending on which terminals are connected, the switch can be configured to either open or close the electrical circuit when the safety key is removed. The universal function refers to the electrical switching principle and is not documentation for specific engine mounting dimensions or wiring.
The delivery includes a safety stop switch, a removable red safety clip, a red coiled lanyard, and a snap hook. The coiled lanyard is connected to the operator so that the clip is pulled out if the operator moves away from the helm. This variant is supplied without a float.
The switch is intended for panel mounting. The mounting hole, panel thickness, and terminal diagram are not specified, and the existing installation should therefore be checked before mounting. Spare key 14.204.98 is the documented spare part for this switch. The spare key can also be adapted for Selva, Johnson, Evinrude, and Honda; this does not indicate full engine or installation compatibility for the switch itself.
