This SILENT conversion kit for vacuum toilets converts a traditional manual or electric marine toilet into an electric vacuum system with 12 V DC. The kit includes a base/pump unit and an electric control panel and is intended for toilet series 50.205.., 50.206.., 50.207.., 50.211.. and 50.217.., as well as documented toilets from Jabsco and Raritan and the toilet designation RN69.
The control panel has functions for filling flush water before use, automatic flushing and emptying after use, and a separate, water-saving emptying function for liquid waste. The flush water volume can be regulated on the control panel. The system is designed so that the toilet bowl remains empty when not in use.
The integrated centrifugal/macerator pump has a specified capacity of 200 l/min and a power consumption of 18 A at 12 V. The maximum vertical lift height for the discharge is 5 m. Installation requires an inlet hose with at least 19 mm inner diameter and a discharge hose with at least 38 mm inner diameter. The system's water consumption is specified as 1-5 liters per cycle.
The system can be supplied with flush water via a separate self-priming raw water pump or via an existing salt or freshwater system with a solenoid valve. For central pressurized water supply, the specified system pressure is 2.5 or 3.5 bar, and the solenoid valve requires at least 11 l/min. For installation below the waterline, inlet and discharge lines must be equipped with vented loops or siphon breaks. The lines are routed at least 50 cm above the waterline with the siphon break placed at the highest point.
The electrical supply must be routed as a separate circuit, and the fuse must be placed close to the battery's positive terminal. Correct polarity is necessary. The wire connections are white to battery positive, gray to battery negative, brown and blue to the discharge pump's positive and negative, and red and black to the positive and negative of the inlet pump or solenoid valve, respectively.
Self-priming flush water pump and solenoid valve are not included. For this 12 V variant, the documented self-priming pump with item no. 16.193.12 and the solenoid valve with item no. 50.203.10 can be used. The system must only be used for organic waste and biodegradable toilet paper; strong cleaning agents can damage the pump's rubber seals.
