This brass hose barb for filter connects a 10 mm hose to a filter connection with an M14 x 1.5 thread, also referred to as 14 MB. This variant is intended for filter installations where a separate, straight fitting is required.
The fitting is made of brass and features a hose barb at one end and an external thread at the other. The hexagonal wrench surface allows for tightening the fitting with a suitable tool during installation.
The hose barb can be used with filter part numbers 17.639.00, 17.656.00, 17.656.05, 17.661.15, 17.842.10, 17.638.00, 17.666.00, and 17.666.01, among others, provided the filter has the relevant 14 MB connection. Always check the filter's thread and the hose's nominal diameter before assembly.
The product is supplied as a single fitting and should not be confused with fitting kit 17.638.03, which is an alternative solution for 10 mm hose and includes swivel fittings, hose barbs, and copper gaskets. A sister variant for 8 mm hose is available as 17.660.02.
