This Solas 3-blade Rubex stainless steel propeller is a right-hand rotation Rubex L3 Plus propeller with a diameter of 15 5/8" and a pitch of 23". The propeller is designed for outboard and sterndrive installations where the engine has through-hub exhaust.
The Rubex L3 Plus series features a large diameter and a large blade area for larger boats. The blade design is developed for high performance at both high and mid-range speeds, as well as for efficient propulsion on offshore boats. The diameter is larger than that of the standard Rubex L3 series.
The propeller is supplied as the propeller body only, without a motor-specific hub insert. Mounting requires a separate Rubex RBX hub/cushion kit, which is selected based on the engine make, engine series, power output, and propeller shaft. The spline count is therefore not a fixed feature of the propeller, but is determined by the chosen hub kit.
Compatibility and hub kits
For Suzuki DT150–DT225 and DF150–DF300 with a 4 3/4" gearcase and 15-spline propeller shaft, the RBX-104 hub kit, item no. 52.537.05, is used. The Suzuki DF250 and DF300 are specifically documented for this configuration. Evinrude/Johnson 200 and 225 hp 4-stroke engines also use the RBX-104.
For Yamaha and Selva 300–350 hp 4-stroke engines, the RBX-127, item no. 52.537.10, is used. The propeller is also documented in a Mercury configuration for Verado 300/350 hp and Pro XS 225/250 hp with a 1.25" shaft, 19 splines, and the RBX-123, item no. 52.537.11. Always check the engine model, year, gearcase, propeller shaft, and recommended RPM range before selecting a propeller and hub kit.
The Solas manufacturer number is 9571-156-23. The secondary Suzuki cross-reference is 99105-00800-23P. The corresponding left-hand rotation sister variant has item no. 52.532.55 and should only be used where the installation requires left-hand rotation.
