This Solas 3-blade Rubex stainless steel propeller from the Rubex L3 Plus series has a diameter of 16", a pitch of 19", and right-hand rotation. The propeller is designed for larger outboard motors and sterndrives when combined with the correct engine-specific Rubex hub kit.
The Rubex L3 Plus series features a large diameter and large blade area for larger boats. The design is developed for high performance at high speed and in the mid-range, as well as with a focus on fuel economy for offshore boats. The propeller has three blades and through-hub exhaust.
The propeller is made of stainless steel. The diameter is 16" (406.4 mm) and the pitch is 19" (482.6 mm). It belongs to application class E for engines of 115 hp and up, and in this class, it is intended for 4 3/4" gearcases.
The interchangeable Rubex hub system makes it possible to adapt the propeller to different engine shafts using the correct hub kit. The hub kit is not integrated into the propeller and is not included. The number of splines is therefore determined by the selected engine and hub combination and is not a fixed feature of the propeller itself.
For Suzuki 200–300 hp, 2-stroke and 4-stroke, as well as Evinrude/Johnson 200 and 225 hp, 4-stroke, Rubex hub kit RBX-104, item no. 52.537.05, is used. For the documented Yamaha and Selva application of 300–350 hp, 4-stroke, RBX-127, item no. 52.537.10, is used. The correct propeller size must always be chosen based on the engine, gear ratio, boat type, and load.
The manufacturer part number is 9571-160-19. The variant is right-hand rotating; any counter-rotating installation requires a separate left-hand rotating propeller.
