This SOLAS outboard propeller from the Amita 3 series is a three-blade aluminum propeller with a diameter of 8″ and a pitch of 7″. It is designed for documented Johnson/Evinrude outboards with a pin-drive propeller shaft.
The propeller has right-hand rotation (RH) and is designed with three blades. The 8 x 7 combination indicates the diameter x pitch and should therefore not be confused with the outer product dimensions of the propeller.
Installation is done directly onto a pin-drive propeller shaft without splines. The variant has a fixed, pressed-in hub with a 65-RB type rubber bushing, P/N 170201, and does not require a separate replaceable hub kit. Check the engine manual or spare parts catalog for the correct use of original washers, nuts, and other mounting hardware.
Compatible engine models
The documented engine list includes Johnson/Evinrude 4 hp from 1980-1983, 4.5 hp Deluxe from 1986-1995, 5 hp 4-stroke from 1999-2003, 6 hp 2-stroke from 1986-2005, 6 hp 4-stroke from 1998-2003, 7.5 hp from 1980-1983, and 8 hp from 1986-2005. The engine must have a pin-drive propeller shaft, and compatibility depends on the precise engine and gear case variant.
Replaces OEM numbers
The propeller cross-references to Johnson/Evinrude/OMC numbers 391096, 0391096, 778796, and 0778796. The SOLAS manufacturer number is 2011-080-07P and also appears in the abbreviated form 2011-080-07.
Always check the engine model, year, shaft type, and original part number before purchasing.
