This Solas Amita 3 aluminum propeller for Selva/Yamaha is a three-blade propeller with a 14.3″ diameter, 21″ pitch, and left-hand rotation. This variant is intended for selected Selva and Yamaha engines as well as documented Yamaha sterndrives.
The propeller is manufactured in aluminum using a squeeze-cast process and features three propeller blades. The Amita 3 design is developed with a focus on strong blades, acceleration, and top speed. The exhaust is routed through the hub.
The fixed, pressed-in rubber hub is an integral part of the propeller. It is therefore not a Rubex variant with a replaceable hub system. The propeller is documented for an application group with a 4¾″ gearcase.
Compatibility
Selva compatibility includes the Killer Whale 150 hp 4-stroke, Grey Whale and Fin Whale 200/225 hp 4-stroke, as well as the Blue Whale 250 hp 4-stroke. Yamaha compatibility includes documented applications on 150-300 hp 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines as well as sterndrives. For engine power exceeding 200 hp, a stainless steel propeller is recommended.
Correct propeller selection requires that the diameter, pitch, left-hand rotation, gearcase, propeller shaft, and mounting hardware match the engine. Original OEM mounting hardware is used by default. The separate spare parts kit 17035501 includes the documented mounting hardware YETW, YDSP, YDWS, YENT, and Epin (2″).
