This Solas Amita 3 aluminum propeller is a left-hand rotation, 3-blade propeller with a diameter of 14.8″ and a pitch of 17″. The variant is developed for documented Selva 4-stroke engines and has manufacturer number 3512-148-17.
The propeller is manufactured in aluminum using a compression molding process, which provides a nearly non-porous and strong construction. The reinforced propeller blades are designed with a focus on acceleration and top speed. A traditional, press-in rubber hub transfers engine power and protects the drivetrain against sudden loads.
The surface has four layers of paint and corrosion protection. The construction has been tested for more than 500 hours in salt spray testing and is intended for demanding maritime use.
The propeller is mounted on a propeller shaft with 15 splines and features through-hub exhaust. In the corresponding Yamaha application, it is used for a 4¾″ gearcase, 150-200 hp and model years 1984 or newer. The variant can be used for outboard engines and relevant stern drive installations with the documented shaft and gearcase configuration.

Fits Selva Killer Whale 150 hp 4-stroke, Grey Whale 200/225 hp 4-stroke, Fin Whale 200/225 hp 4-stroke, and Blue Whale 250 hp 4-stroke. For Yamaha installations over 200 hp, a stainless steel propeller is generally recommended over aluminum. When used on Selva 225 and 250 hp, the suitability of the propeller should therefore be assessed in relation to the boat, load, and operating conditions.

The propeller cross-references to Yamaha OEM no. 6K1-45947-00-98. Existing original mounting parts must be reused or purchased separately. The relevant mounting system includes a thrust washer, spacer, washer, nut, and cotter pin; kit number 17035501 is associated with this shaft configuration.
