This Solas Amita 3 aluminum propeller for Suzuki outboard motors is a 3-blade, right-hand rotation replacement propeller with a diameter of 9.25″ and a pitch of 10″. The propeller has 10 splines and is designed for select outboard motors with a 2½″ gearcase and through-hub exhaust.
The Amita 3 propeller is manufactured from aluminum using a squeeze-casting process, which results in a nearly porosity-free construction with higher strength and toughness than traditional die-casting. The surface is black and protected by four layers of paint. The aluminum propellers in this series have been tested in a salt spray tank for more than 500 hours.
The propeller has a traditional, pressed-in rubber hub. The rubber bushing secures the hub system while simultaneously contributing to dampening. Therefore, this is not a propeller with an interchangeable Rubex hub, and a separate Rubex hub kit is not required.
Compatibility
The propeller can be used on select Suzuki engines in the DT and DF series with a 10-spline propeller shaft and a 2½″ gearcase. Validated engine series include the Suzuki DF8A, DT9.9, DF9.9, DF9.9A, DF9.9B, DT15, DT15C, DF15, DF15A, and DF20A within the specified model years for the individual engine series. Suzuki 9.9C and 9.9CN are not compatible.
Documented use also exists for Johnson and Evinrude 9.9/15 hp four-stroke engines from 2002-2007. Always verify the engine model, year, gearcase, number of splines, and original part number before purchasing.
