This Solas outboard propeller is a three-blade Amita 3 aluminum propeller with a diameter of 9.25 inches and a pitch of 9 inches. It is designed for documented Johnson and Evinrude outboard motors with a 13-spline propeller shaft and a 2.5-inch gearcase.
The propeller is right-hand rotating and features through-hub exhaust. The traditional pressed-in rubber hub is integrated into the propeller, meaning this Amita 3 version does not require a separate Rubex hub kit. The propeller mounts directly onto the compatible propeller shaft, while the engine's original mounting hardware continues to be used.
The aluminum propeller is manufactured using a squeeze-casting process, which provides a nearly non-porous material structure compared to traditional die-casting. Four layers of paint and surface treatment protect the aluminum surface against corrosion, and the construction has been salt spray tested for more than 500 hours.
The Amita 3 series is developed with strong propeller blades and a focus on acceleration and top speed. The specific combination of 9.25-inch diameter and 9-inch pitch should be chosen based on the engine's prescribed RPM range, boat type, and load.
Compatible engine models
Compatibility includes BRP, Johnson, Evinrude, and OMC engines in the following groups: 8 hp 4-stroke from 1996-2005, 9.9 and 15 hp 2-stroke from 1974-2005, and 9.9 and 15 hp 4-stroke from 1995-2001. The engine must have a 2.5-inch gearcase, through-hub exhaust, and a propeller shaft with 13 splines.
Always check engine/drive model, model year, gearcase, propeller shaft, and original part number before purchasing.
