This Solas Amita 3 aluminum propeller for Johnson/Evinrude/OMC is a 3-blade, right-hand rotation propeller with a 14.8" diameter, 17" pitch, and 15 splines. It is intended as an aftermarket and OEM replacement propeller for documented outboard motors and sterndrives with a 4¾" gearcase.
The propeller is manufactured from aluminum using Solas' squeeze-cast process and features relatively wide blades. The design is developed with a focus on strong propeller blades as well as efficient acceleration and top speed. Exhaust is routed through the propeller hub.
The Amita 3 propeller has a traditional, pressed-in rubber hub. It therefore does not use a separate interchangeable Rubex hub kit. The direction of rotation is RH, which means right-hand rotation.
Compatibility includes Johnson/Evinrude 2-stroke engines and Evinrude E-TEC in the power classes 130, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, 275, and 300 hp. The propeller also fits the OMC Cobra 800 as well as the OMC King Cobra up to and including 1994 in versions with a 15-tooth spline.
The propeller corresponds to OEM numbers 391200/0391200 and 765187/0765187. OEM number 0765187 also replaces numbers 0177134/177134, 0387160/387160, 0391200/391200, and 0763467/763467. The Solas manufacturer number is 2511-148-17.
The complete hardware kit 17025501 is documented for fixed-hub propellers in this application class. The kit includes a thrust washer, spacer, propeller nut, and cotter pin. The engine's specific requirements for mounting hardware must always be checked before installation.
The correct propeller pitch depends not only on mechanical compatibility but also on the engine's gear ratio, boat type, and load. Therefore, check the engine and drive model, 4¾" gearcase, 15 splines, and original part number before purchasing.
