This Solas Amita 3 aluminum propeller is a fixed, right-hand 3-blade propeller for select outboard motors. This variant has a diameter of 7.8", a pitch of 8", and a hub connection with 12 splines.
The propeller is manufactured from aluminum using Solas' squeeze-cast process, which compresses the material during casting and provides strong blades with very low porosity. The Amita 3 series is developed with a focus on good acceleration and top speed.
The traditional rubber hub is factory-installed and pressed into the propeller. Therefore, a separate hub kit is not required for this variant. The design is intended for through-hub exhaust, where the engine's exhaust is directed through the propeller hub.
The black propeller has a four-layer coating system for corrosion protection. Amita 3 aluminum propellers are also subjected to more than 500 hours of salt spray testing as part of the series' corrosion testing.
Compatible engine models
Primary compatibility is Johnson and Evinrude 4–6 hp, 4-stroke outboard motors from 2011 onwards. The propeller is also documented for Mercury/Mariner 4 hp 4-stroke from 1999, 4–5 hp 2-stroke from 1987, and 6 hp 4-stroke from 1999, when the engine has a 12-spline propeller shaft and through-hub exhaust.
Replaces OEM numbers
The manufacturer number is Solas 5011-078-08. Documented cross-references include BRP/Evinrude 0766541 and 766541, as well as Mercury 48-812950A02.
Related item numbers
Documented sister variants are item no. 52.205.07 with 7" pitch and item no. 52.205.10 with 9" pitch. The choice of pitch must be adapted to the specific combination of engine, boat, and load.
Always check the engine's model, year, propeller shaft, original item number, and recommended propeller dimensions before purchasing.
