This Solas New Saturn Rubex 3-blade stainless steel propeller has a diameter of 13 1/4", a pitch of 17", and left-hand rotation. The propeller is intended for outboard and stern drive engines where the engine, gearcase, rotation, and chosen Rubex hub kit match the propeller's specifications.
The propeller utilizes an interchangeable Rubex hub insert with shock-absorbing functionality. The hub insert allows the same propeller shell to be adapted to different engine systems. The required Rubex hub kit is not included and must be selected separately based on engine make, engine model, year, horsepower, gearcase, and propeller shaft.
The 3-blade propeller shell is manufactured from stainless steel via investment casting. The stainless alloy contains chromium, nickel, and molybdenum, which contribute to corrosion resistance and stable propeller blades. No specific AISI steel grade is indicated for this variant.
With the correct Rubex hub kit, the propeller can be used for selected engines from Yamaha, Selva, Honda, Tohatsu, Mercury, Suzuki, Evinrude, and Johnson. Relevant compatibility includes, among others, Yamaha and Selva 70–140 hp 2-stroke and 70–115 hp 4-stroke, Honda 75, 90, and 130 hp as well as 115 hp up to 2010, Tohatsu 70–140 hp 2-stroke from 2003, and Mercury 75–125 hp 2- and 4-stroke.
It also includes selected Suzuki engines of 70–140 hp 2-stroke and 60/70 hp 4-stroke, Evinrude/Johnson 60/70 hp 4-stroke, as well as relevant Johnson, Evinrude, and Selva applications of 70–140 hp 2-stroke, 40–90 hp, and 115 hp E-TEC. For relevant Yamaha applications, 15 splines are used via the correct hub kit, 4 1/4" gearcase, and thru-hub exhaust.
Rubex hub kits
Relevant separate hub kits include 52.537.00 / RBX-208 for Yamaha 70–100 hp, 52.537.01 / RBX-203 for Yamaha 115–300 hp and Selva 4-stroke, 52.537.02 / RBX-107 for Honda, 52.537.03 / RBX-102 for Mercury, 52.537.07 / RBX-110 for Suzuki, 52.537.08 / RBX-106 for Johnson/Evinrude, and 52.537.09 / RBX-109 for Tohatsu. For Yamaha 115 hp, the engine and year must be checked separately, as RBX-203 may be the correct kit.
The propeller's manufacturer code is 9432-133-17. It should not be confused with 3432-133-17, which denotes a version with a fixed press-in rubber hub rather than the interchangeable Rubex system.
