This Solas propeller for Mercury/Mariner/MerCruiser is a 3-blade Amita 3 aluminum boat propeller with a diameter of 9.25 inches and a pitch of 10 inches. This variant features right-hand rotation and is designed for an 8-spline propeller shaft.
The propeller is manufactured using squeeze casting, which provides a virtually non-porous structure and stronger blades than traditional die casting. The design is developed with a focus on acceleration and top speed. The aluminum surface has four layers of corrosion-resistant coating, and the finish has passed more than 500 hours of salt spray testing.
The Amita 3 propeller has through-hub exhaust and a traditional, press-in rubber hub. Therefore, a separate Rubex hub kit is not required. The Solas manufacturer number is 1111-093-10. The propeller is cross-referenced to Mercury OEM no. 48-828158A12 as well as the previous number 48-17874A12 / 17874A12. The OEM propeller has different nominal geometric measurements, so the cross-reference indicates a compatible match and not identical dimensions.
