This Solas Rubex New Saturn NS3 3-blade stainless steel propeller has a diameter of 14 1/4″, a pitch of 17″, and left-hand rotation. It is designed for outboards and sterndrives where the engine is matched to the propeller using a separate Rubex RBX hub/installation kit.
The propeller is made of stainless steel and features three blades with a large blade area. The Rubex NS3 series is developed as an all-round propeller with good acceleration. The exhaust is vented through the propeller hub.
The interchangeable Rubex hub system allows the same propeller model to be used for different engine brands by selecting the correct engine-specific hub kit. The hub kit is not included and must be purchased separately. The required spline count for the propeller shaft is therefore determined by the engine, the drive, and the chosen hub kit, and is not a fixed attribute of the propeller itself.
Compatible engines and drives
With the correct Rubex hub kit, the propeller can be used for selected Yamaha, Selva, Honda, Suzuki, Mercury, Mariner, MerCruiser, Johnson, Evinrude, Volvo Penta, and OMC installations.
Documented applications include Yamaha V6 150-300 hp, 2-stroke and 4-stroke; Suzuki 150-250 hp; Mercury and Mariner 135-300 hp, 2-stroke and 4-stroke; MerCruiser Alpha One and Bravo One; Johnson and Evinrude 130-300 hp, as well as Cobra 800 and King Cobra up to and including 1994. The propeller can also be used for Volvo Penta SX and OMC King Cobra from 1994 with a hub kit for a 19-spline propeller shaft.
Honda applications include 115 hp from 2010 as well as 135, 150, 175, 200, 225, and 250 hp. Selva applications include 150 hp EFI 4T Killer Whale, 200/225 hp EFI 4T Grey Whale or Fin Whale, and 250 hp EFI 4T Blue Whale. Evinrude and Johnson 4-stroke 150-225 hp engines use the Suzuki type of hub kit.

Yamaha and Selva use item no. 52.537.01, type RBX-203. Honda uses 52.537.02, type RBX-107. Mercury, Mariner, and MerCruiser use 52.537.03, type RBX-102. Johnson, Evinrude, and older OMC drives use 52.537.04, type RBX-100. Suzuki as well as relevant Evinrude/Johnson 4-stroke engines use 52.537.05, type RBX-104. Volvo Penta SX and OMC King Cobra from 1994 use 52.537.06, type RBX-105.
