This SOLAS Rubex NS3 3-blade stainless steel propeller with interchangeable hub is the New Saturn variant 9431-133-17 with a diameter of 13 1/4", a pitch of 17", and right-hand rotation. The propeller is designed for through-hub exhaust propulsion systems and is used with a motor-specific Rubex/RBX hub kit.
The Rubex NS3 is designed as an all-round propeller with three large blades. The large blade area supports good acceleration, making the series suitable for a wide range of boat types, including pontoon boats, commercial vessels, and heavier boats, provided the diameter, pitch, and hub kit are suitable for the specific installation.
The propeller is manufactured in stainless steel using precision casting. The design combines corrosion resistance with good blade stability under load. The right-hand rotating version is also referred to as RH or DX.
The variant belongs to the SOLAS D-series for 4 1/4" gearcases, through-hub exhaust, and the overall power class of 40–140 hp. The power class is an application framework and cannot be used alone for selecting a propeller. The correct combination also depends on the engine make, engine model, year, gearcase, and propeller shaft.
Compatibility and hub kits
The propeller is supplied without a motor-specific hub. The interchangeable RBX rubber hub system makes it possible to adapt the propeller to different engine makes using the correct hub/shock absorber kit. The number of splines is determined by the hub kit and is therefore not a fixed attribute of the propeller itself.
Documented applications include Yamaha and Selva 70–140 hp 2-stroke and 70–115 hp 4-stroke, Honda 75, 90, and 130 hp as well as 115 hp up to and including model year 2010, Tohatsu 70–140 hp 2-stroke from 2003, Mercury and Mariner 75–125 hp 2- and 4-stroke, Suzuki 70–140 hp 2-stroke and 60/70 hp 4-stroke, Evinrude/Johnson 60/70 hp 4-stroke and 70–140 hp 2-stroke, and select Evinrude E-TEC engines from 40–90 hp and 115 hp.

Depending on the engine, RBX-208 with item no. 52.537.00 is used for relevant Yamaha applications, RBX-203 with item no. 52.537.01 for, among others, Yamaha 115 hp 4-stroke, RBX-107 with item no. 52.537.02 for relevant Honda engines, RBX-102 with item no. 52.537.03 for Mercury/Mariner, RBX-110 with item no. 52.537.07 for Suzuki and certain Evinrude/Johnson 4-stroke engines, RBX-106 with item no. 52.537.08 for relevant Johnson/Evinrude and Selva applications, and RBX-109 with item no. 52.537.09 for Tohatsu.
Before installation, verify that the diameter, pitch, direction of rotation, hub kit, thrust washer, spacer, nut, and any split pin match the engine and year. The propeller shaft should be lubricated every 12 months.
