Interchangeable propeller hub kit from the Solas Rubex RBX series. The RBX-203 is used to mount compatible New Saturn and HR TITAN Rubex propellers on select Yamaha engines as well as Selva 4-stroke models. The kit has 15 splines and must be selected based on the engine, gearcase, propeller shaft, and the specific propeller.
The rubber-based Rubex hub acts as a cushioning connection between the propeller and the propeller shaft. The design reduces vibrations and shocks during gear shifts and features approximately 10° of elastic deflection. The hub is made as a single piece without an internal plastic sleeve and has anodized aluminum splines. It can be reused if a damaged propeller is replaced, provided the hub itself has not been damaged.
The complete RBX-203 kit includes thrust washer 81013350, Rubex hub 81023151, rear spacer 81053150, and flat washer 81061140. The propeller shaft nut and cotter pin are original engine parts and are not included. The spacer and flat washer are only installed when required by the engine or drive installation instructions.

During installation, set the engine to neutral, switch off the ignition, and disconnect the spark plug or ignition coil wire. The thrust washer is installed first, after which the hub is inserted from the back of the propeller with the splines facing forward. The propeller shaft is lubricated, the propeller is installed, and the original nut and cotter pin are tightened according to the engine manufacturer's instructions.
The Rubex system is interchangeable and is also described as compatible with Mercury Flo-Torq and Michigan Vortex propeller systems. Always check the specific engine, gearcase size, shaft, spline count, and propeller before installation. RBX-203B and RBX-203X are separate variants for specific Yamaha applications and must not be confused with this RBX-203 kit.
