Rubex RBX interchangeable propeller hub kit model RBX-110 is an engine-specific hub kit for mounting compatible Rubex propellers on selected Suzuki and Evinrude/Johnson outboard motors. The kit is mounted between the propeller and the propeller shaft and acts as the splined connector that centers the propeller on the shaft.
The interchangeable propeller hub has an aluminum core and an elastic rubber section. The rubber construction dampens vibrations and hub noise while reducing the transmission of shocks from gear shifting or contact with underwater objects to the propeller shaft and gear housing. The hub's elastic deflection is 10°, which contributes to smoother power transmission.
RBX-110 is designed for 13-spline propeller shafts and applications with a 4-1/4" gear housing. The kit is used with Rubex propellers in propeller category D and is documented for New Saturn and HR TITAN propellers in the correct engine application. The propeller is selected separately.
Compatible engine models
Suzuki DF60 4-stroke from 1998-2009, Suzuki DF70 4-stroke from 1998-2008, and Suzuki DT75-140 hp 2-stroke from 1979-2001. The kit also fits Evinrude/Johnson 60 and 70 hp 4-stroke from model year 1998 and newer. All listed applications use 13 splines and a 4-1/4" gear housing.

Kit contents
The kit includes thrust washer 81013241, RBX hub 81023240, and rear spacer 81053240. The spacer is mounted when required by the specific engine application. Propeller, propeller nut, and cotter pin are not included; the engine's original nut and cotter pin must be reused or purchased separately.
For installation, place the thrust washer correctly on the shaft taper, then insert the hub from the boat side of the propeller with the splines facing forward toward the propeller blade tips. Lubricate the propeller shaft before installation, and mount the nut and cotter pin according to the engine or drive manual. The correct tightening torque depends on the engine application.
The interchangeable hub can be reused when replacing a damaged or worn propeller if the hub itself remains undamaged. The system is covered by U.S. Patent No. 7,488,225.
