This Rubex interchangeable propeller hub kit from SOLAS is model RBX-102 for compatible Rubex propellers and engines or drives with a 15-spline propeller shaft. The kit forms the connection between the propeller and the propeller shaft and is intended for New Saturn and HR TITAN Rubex propellers in categories D and E.
The interchangeable aluminum hub features a rubber-based, vibration-dampening design. The hub centers the propeller on the shaft and acts as a shock-absorbing connection between the propeller blades and the propeller shaft. The construction can also help protect the shaft against heavy impacts if the propeller hits an underwater object.
The RBX hub is installed into the propeller hub cavity from the boat side and does not require permanent pressing by a propeller shop. The kit includes thrust washer 81013150, RBX hub 81023150, rear spacer 81051150, locking tab 8108114, and shaft nut 8114114. Depending on the engine or drive, it may be necessary to reuse the original thrust washer, spacer, locking mechanism, nut, or cotter pin.
Compatibility
RBX-102 fits documented Mercury/Mariner applications with 15 splines, including 40–60 hp Bigfoot as well as 40–140 hp, excluding 135 hp, with a V4 gearcase from 1978 and newer. It also fits 90 and 115 hp Command Thrust from 2014, 135 hp from 1987, and 150–300 hp from 1978. MerCruiser compatibility includes Alpha One and Bravo One under 400 hp.
Additional documented applications include Yamaha 80–140 hp from 1977–1983 and 150–175 hp from 1978–1983, Honda BF75–BF90 from 1995–1998, Force 75–150 hp from 1995–1999 as well as 85–150 hp from 1988–1994, and OXE Diesel 125, 150, 175, and 200 hp. The gearcase size is 4 1/4" for the relevant category D applications and 4 3/4" for the relevant category E applications.

Documented compatible propeller part numbers include 52.522.02, 52.522.22, 52.522.04, 52.522.24, 52.522.06, 52.522.26, 52.532.02, 52.532.03, 52.532.04, 52.532.05, 52.532.06, 52.532.07, 52.533.05, 52.533.06, 52.533.07, and 52.533.08. A complete installation requires a propeller in the correct Rubex category as well as a hub kit that matches the engine, model year, gearcase, and propeller shaft.
During installation, the engine must be in neutral and the ignition must be switched off. The propeller shaft should be lubricated before installation, and the shaft nut must be tightened according to the engine or drive manufacturer's torque specifications. The hub's splines must face the front of the propeller and the blade tips.
Always check the engine/drive model, model year, gearcase size, number of splines, and original part number before purchase.
