This UV-resistant PVC base for C-shaped fender profile is a black base profile for a modular marine boat and fender profile system. The base is intended for the 35 mm wide C-shaped fender profile with item no. 44.480.38.
The PVC base is placed under the stainless steel profile and acts as a shaped underlay and support. The C-shape of the steel profile grips the sides of the base, so the parts form a combined protective profile along the side of the boat's hull. The term countersunk holes applies to the mounting holes in the compatible steel profile and not the PVC base.
The base is manufactured from UV-resistant PVC for outdoor marine use. The black colour makes it suitable where a dark transition is desired between the hull and the mirror-polished stainless steel fender profile.
The profile has a cross-section of 47 × 21 mm and is supplied coiled in a length of 24 m. The coiled form makes the flexible profile practical to handle and adapt along the desired mounting surface.

The profile is mirror-polished, pickled, and passivated for use in saline environments. The corresponding mirror-polished AISI 316 end cap has item no. 44.484.37.
