This divider in mirror-polished brass is the long version at 177 mm and is intended for manual chart work with paper nautical charts. The two points make it possible to transfer and plot distances when planning and checking a route.
The main construction of the divider is made of mirror-polished brass. The shiny surface is combined with hard, mirror-polished steel points, which form the contact points when working on the chart.
The traditional, long design is operated by adjusting the distance between the points and then moving the measurement to or along the chart's scale and route. This variant has a documented product length of 177 mm.
The divider comes with a protective plastic case, which keeps the tool together and protects the points during storage and transport.
