This sealing insert with gasket for waterproof connector is intended for electrical cables with a conductor cross-section of 4 or 6 mm². The insert is mounted around the individual conductor behind the Faston terminal and forms the cable seal in the connector.
The component is manufactured from silicone and is part of a two-part system with waterproof connector housings and separate male and female Faston terminals. The product is a separate sealing component and not a complete plug or connector set.
For a complete mated connector, four sealing inserts of the size corresponding to the conductor cross-section are used. For installation with 4/6 mm² conductors, the insert is combined with female Faston 14.231.10 and male Faston 14.231.20. The corresponding waterproof connector housings have part nos. 14.230.10 and 14.230.20.
Always select the sealing insert and Faston terminals according to the cable cross-section used. This variant is documented exclusively for 4/6 mm² cables.
