Tecma Compass electric marine toilet in the Compass Short version is a compact 24 V DC toilet for permanent installation on board boats and yachts of approximately 30–50 feet. Its low profile is particularly suitable for mounting on a raised step or pedestal where available height is limited.
The toilet features a white, Italian ceramic bowl and a seat with a lid made of thermosetting polyester. The soft-close mechanism dampens the closing, reducing both noise and stress on the seat. The recessed back and compact base allow the toilet to be placed close to a straight or angled wall as well as closer to the hull side.
The integrated 24 V MAC 4 macerator pump shreds waste and transports it through the drainage system. The pump has a maximum vertical lift of 4 m and a maximum horizontal discharge distance of 40 m. The standard discharge connection is 1½″ with an inner hose diameter of approximately 38–38.5 mm; DN40 is recommended when the installation permits.
The included Eco Rocker Switch panel provides separate operation of water supply and flush/discharge via the Add Water and Flush functions. Water consumption for the Compass Short is 0.5–2.7 liters per flush. The integrated 24 V solenoid valve is designed for the boat's pressurized water system and has a recommended operating pressure of 3 bar.
The solenoid valve inlet has a ½″ male thread, while the outlet has a ¼″ hose barb. The toilet water inlet has a ½″ hose barb. For installations using seawater, a separate 24 V inlet pump is used, such as the proven pump with item no. 16.525.24. Installation below or close to the waterline requires a proper anti-siphon solution to prevent accidental water ingress.
The delivery includes the Compass Short toilet, Eco Rocker Switch, integrated MAC 4 macerator pump, 24 V solenoid valve, mounting kit, and product documentation. The discharge hose can be routed under an installation step or surface-mounted in several directions. The toilet must only be used for human waste and toilet paper; wet wipes and other foreign objects must not be flushed.
