This telescopic seat pedestal with seat mount is intended for height-adjustable mounting of boat seats, helm chairs, and seat shells on decks or floors. Depending on the variant, the seat height can be adjusted within the ranges of 300–400 mm, 350–480 mm, 435–635 mm, or 454–590 mm, allowing the position to be adapted to the user and the installation.
Height adjustment is operated via a gas spring, and one of the variants features a pneumatic gas spring with a maximum pressure of 350 N. The lockable, key-guided aluminum column ensures controlled telescopic movement. The construction is made of mirror-polished, anodized aluminum with heavy-duty, thick-walled telescopic tubes of Ø 88/73 mm.
The round floor base has a diameter of Ø 305 mm and provides a large contact area for permanent mounting on decks or floors. Depending on the variant, the seat mount is supplied with a mounting plate of 335 × 185 mm or 338 × 182 mm. The plates have mounting slots and holes for various seat frames and seat shells, but the actual mounting dimensions of the seat should always be checked before installation.
One variant has a swivel upper seat mount with a 2-7/8" Trac-Lock III slide as well as separate locking and tensioning handles. The floor base on the relevant variant has six mounting holes of approx. Ø 7.3 mm positioned on a bolt circle of approx. Ø 280 mm. The foldable footrest with item no. 48.715.01 is documented as a compatible accessory for the relevant variants.
