Description

This Tessilmare BINO fender profile in grey PVC is model BINO 40 in a 12 m coil. The profile protects the boat's hull side and joints against impact and wear and has a profile height of 40 mm and a projection of 22 mm.

The patented profile consists of two PVC parts that interlock: a base profile for fastening to the boat and an outer top profile that hides screws or rivets after installation. The modular design makes it possible to replace the base and top parts separately.

BINO 40 is highly flexible and can follow complex curves in two axes, including positive and negative sharp radii. The profile is installed cold without preheating and does not require the separate stainless mounting profile used for larger models in the series.

The base profile is drilled and screwed directly into place with a recommended fastening distance of 15–20 cm. The top profile is then pressed or tapped into place with a rubber mallet. For installation, use a 4 or 4.2 mm drill bit as well as self-drilling A4/316 screws with an oval head, 9.5 mm screw head and 4.8 mm shank diameter. Suitable screw standards are DIN 7983, UNI 6956 or ISO 7051; A2 screws are not recommended.

The ends of the profile are secured with a screw, after which end caps or joint covers are mounted with a partial overlap over the profile end. The end caps must not be fastened through the side of the profile. BINO 40 can be used on, among others, yachts, leisure boats, tenders, workboats, commercial vessels, military boats and houseboats, as well as for the protection of quays, piers and pontoons.

Documented end caps for BINO 40 are black item no. 44.045.94, grey item no. 44.046.94 and stainless item no. 44.045.84. Model-related accessories also include a 316L stainless steel joint cover 130-500-615, 316L stainless steel end cap 130-500-515 and black 90° end cap 130-500-516-BL.
