This Tessilmare BINO PVC fender profile in model BINO 40 is a black, flexible protective profile for boat sides, hull edges, quays, or pontoons. The profile has a nominal height of 40 mm, a projection of 22 mm, and is supplied as a 12 m roll.
The two-part construction consists of a base profile and a top/insert profile in PVC that lock together. The base profile is screwed directly into place, after which the top profile covers the mounting screws and provides a closed surface. The two parts can be replaced individually if one part becomes damaged or worn later on.
BINO 40 is highly flexible and intended for installations with pronounced or complex curves in two axes. The profile is installed cold without heating. It is suitable for yachts, leisure boats, tenders, workboats, commercial vessels, houseboats, and for the protection of quays and pontoons.
During installation, the base profile is laid out and stretched correctly, then drilled and screwed into place with a recommended screw spacing of 15–20 cm. The top profile is pressed or tapped into place with a rubber mallet. Recommended tools are a drill/driver, 4–4.2 mm drill bit, and a rubber mallet. For fastening, A4/316 self-drilling screws with an oval head, Phillips No. 10, head diameter 9.5 mm, and shank diameter 4.8 mm according to DIN 7983, UNI 6956, or ISO 7051 are recommended. A2 screws should not be used.
The profile ends are secured with a screw and can be finished with end caps or connectors. Documented accessories include black end cap 44.045.94, grey end cap 44.046.94, and stainless steel end cap 44.045.84. BINO 40 does not use the separate stainless steel mounting profile used for larger BINO models.
