This Tessilmare BINO PVC fender profile is a 12 m black BINO 65 model with a profile height of 65 mm and a projection of 37 mm. The flexible profile protects hulls and mounting surfaces against impact and wear and is developed for, among other things, leisure boats, tenders, work boats, commercial vessels, military boats, houseboats, as well as quay and pier protection.
The patented profile system consists of two interlocking PVC components: a base profile that is screwed onto the substrate, and an external locking profile that is mounted afterwards. The locking profile hides the fastening screws and provides a uniform finish. The two components can be replaced separately during subsequent maintenance.
BINO 65 is supplied as a 12 m roll without a mounting lip and is intended for flat surfaces. The profile has a weight of 2.12 kg per linear meter and a minimum bending radius of 55 mm. The black finish corresponds to RAL 9004.
Installation is carried out mechanically through the base profile and can be performed cold without mandatory heating. After fastening, the locking profile is pressed or tapped into place with a rubber mallet. Moderate preheating can make the profile easier to handle for difficult bends, for example in 40-60 °C water, in a low-temperature oven, in sunlight, or carefully with an industrial heat gun.
For installation, self-drilling oval-head screws in A4/316 stainless steel with a shank diameter of 4.8 mm and a head diameter of 9.5 mm are recommended. The specified screw standards are DIN 7983, UNI 6956, or ISO 7051, and a 4 or 4.2 mm drill bit is used. A2 screws are not recommended. On aluminum boats, aluminum accessories are recommended over stainless steel accessories.
An optional, pre-drilled stainless steel mounting profile can be used to guide drilling and achieve a stable installation. The 2 m long mounting profile has item no. 44.047.01 and is supplied separately. Black end cap with item no. 44.045.95 and grey end cap with item no. 44.046.95 fit the BINO 65. The manufacturer's base item number for this profile is 130-115-005.
