Tessilmare BINO PVC fender profile in the BINO 90 model is a black, two-piece rub rail for protecting boat hulls, quays, piers, and other exposed surfaces. The profile measures 90 mm along the mounting surface, has a projection of 53 mm, and is supplied as a continuous 12 m roll.
BINO 90 is developed for high impact protection on yachts, leisure boats, tenders, workboats, commercial vessels, military boats, and houseboats, among others. The design is lip-less and intended for mounting on flat surfaces. The minimum documented bending radius is 70 mm.
The patented profile system consists of two interlocking PVC parts: a base profile and a pressure-fitted top/closing profile. The closing profile hides the mounting screws and can be pressed or tapped into place with a rubber mallet. Furthermore, the construction makes it possible to replace the PVC components separately during future maintenance.
The profile is manufactured from black PVC with color code RAL 9004 and a documented material hardness of 83 Shore. The cross-profile has an outer top radius of 42.1 mm and an inner, side-specific profile radius of 39.7 mm. The profile weight is 4.165 kg per meter.
Installation can be performed cold without heating. For difficult curves, unrolling and fitting can be facilitated by heating the profile in water at 40–60 °C for 30–60 minutes, in low temperatures, or in sunlight. The base profile can be mounted with washers or with the separate, pre-drilled mounting profile, item no. 44.047.01. For mounting on aluminum boats, aluminum accessories are recommended to avoid incompatible material combinations.
For fastening, 4–4.2 mm drilling and self-tapping or self-drilling screws in A4/316 stainless steel with an oval head are recommended. Suitable screw standards are DIN 7983, UNI 6956, or ISO 7051. A black end cap for BINO 90 is available separately as item no. 44.045.96, while item no. 44.046.96 is a documented grey alternative.
