Tessilmare Radial 40 soft PVC fender profile is a white, seamless outer profile for the Radial 40 system. The profile is supplied on a 24 m roll and protects the joint between the hull and deck as the outer part of a two-piece rub rail.
This product includes only the soft PVC outer profile. The rigid Radial 40 mounting track is not included and must be ordered separately. The track is screwed or blind-riveted onto the hull, after which the outer profile is pressed or rolled onto the track's fins without welding.
The loose profile has an external span of 40.5 mm and an external radius of 20 mm. The nominal system dimensions are 40 × 21 mm, and the minimum documented bending radius is 60 mm. The linear weight is 510 g/m.
The Radial 40 profile can be installed cold without preheating. Both the track and the outer profile are mounted with the longest lip facing downwards. Installation begins at the transom, after which the profile is rolled forward towards the bow. During installation, the profile is stretched approximately 2–3 cm per meter to ensure a tight fit.
The profile ends are secured with one or two screws and finished with appropriate end caps or joint covers. The required mounting track has part no. 44.042.05 and manufacturer no. 130-141-011. For this system, there are also end pieces 44.484.01 and joint covers 44.042.15 in stainless steel.
The PVC surface can be cleaned with liquid degreaser. Special PVC cleaning agents must be used with correct dilution, as improper use can permanently damage the profile. Installation on perfectly flat surfaces is not recommended without prior technical clarification.
