This Tessilmare Radial 40 rigid mounting track in Duralene-PVC is the hidden base of the two-part Radial 40 fender profile system. The black track is supplied in a 2 m length and is mounted directly onto the boat hull. The soft external PVC insert is not included and must be ordered separately.
The mounting track forms the solid base onto which the soft Radial 40 insert is pressed. This design allows for the replacement or reinstallation of the outer insert without replacing the fixed track. The complete system functions as a protective fender profile or rub rail along the hull.
The track is manufactured from rigid black Duralene®-PVC. It measures 2,000 mm in length and has a maximum cross-width of 29.5 mm. The top locking head is 19.5 mm wide, and the documented minimum bending radius is 60 mm.
The track is fastened with screws or blind rivets in the central part. For Radial 40, no. 8 self-tapping Phillips screws in A4/316L stainless steel with a 7.5 mm head diameter and 3.9 mm shank diameter can be used. A2 screws should not be used. The track can be hand-bent and cold-mounted; strong heating should be avoided, as the material can be damaged.
During installation, both the track and the soft profile insert must be positioned with the longest lip facing downwards. The system should not be mounted on completely flat surfaces without prior technical assessment. After installation, the ends of the profile can be secured with one or two screws and finished with appropriate end caps or joint covers.
Compatible profile inserts
The track is intended for the soft Radial 40 PVC inserts 44.042.02 in white, 44.042.03 in grey, and 44.042.04 in black. The manufacturer numbers for the corresponding inserts are 130-141-012-W, 130-141-012-G, and 130-141-012-B. The track and insert must be assembled to form a complete fender profile.
