This mounting rail for fender profile is the rigid, hidden base for the Tessilmare Radial 52 system. The black rail is supplied as a 2 m long rod and is mounted at the joint between the hull and the deck. The separate soft PVC insert is not included.
The rail is made of Duralene® rigid PVC and has a maximum width of 42.5 mm. The upper retaining part is 26.5 mm wide, and the documented minimum bending radius is 70 mm. The construction can usually be cold-bent by hand, allowing the rail to follow the boat's contours without welding.
The mounting rail is attached to the hull with screws or blind rivets. It should face with the longest lip downwards, and the attachment points are placed on the outer wings of the rail. For screw mounting, self-drilling A4/316 screws with a flat TPS head, no. 10 Phillips, 9.5 mm head diameter and 4.8 mm shank diameter are recommended. A fastening distance of approximately 15–20 cm can be used.
A complete Radial 52 fender profile requires a separate soft insert. The rail is directly compatible with the white insert 44.052.02, the gray insert 44.052.03, or the black insert 44.052.04. The insert is pressed or rolled over the rail's retaining fins and stretched approximately 2–3 cm per meter during installation. Storing the insert in a warm place overnight can facilitate installation.
The system is patented and intended for mounting at an encapsulated or overlapping joint between hull and deck. Installation directly on completely flat surfaces should only be performed after technical consultation. The ends can be finished with end cap 44.484.02, while joints can be covered with joint cover 44.042.16.
The PVC surface can be cleaned with a liquid degreaser. Improperly diluted special agents for PVC can permanently damage the profile, and strong heat sources must not be used on the rigid rail.
