This external PVC fender profile from Tessilmare is the 24 m grey variant for the modular Radial 52 system. The profile is mounted at the boat's hull/deck joint and protects the hull edge against impact and wear.
The item includes only the external, semi-rigid PVC profile. The hidden, rigid mounting rail with item no. 44.052.05 must be ordered separately and combined with the profile to form a complete fender and rub rail. The corresponding Tessilmare rail has manufacturer part no. 130-141-016.
The profile is made of grey PVC in color RAL 7047 and is supplied as a continuous 24 m roll. Radial 52 has a nominal size of 52 mm, profile height A of 52 mm, and projection B of 29 mm. The linear weight is 1,044 g/m.
Installation is carried out by first attaching the separate rail to the boat with screws or blind rivets. The profile's grip is then pressed over the fins of the rail so that it clicks into place without welding. Radial 52 can be mounted cold without preheating. When mounting around the hull/deck joint, the rail and profile should be oriented with the longest lips facing downwards, and the profile should be stretched approximately 2-3 cm per meter while working towards the bow.
For attaching the separate rail, self-drilling A4/316 flat-head screws or blind rivets are recommended, with approximately 15-20 cm between fastenings. The system's minimum bending radius is 70 mm. The ends of the profile are secured and finished with suitable Radial 52 end caps or joint covers. Compatible stainless steel accessories include end cap 44.484.02 and joint cover 44.042.16.
The PVC surface can be cleaned with a liquid degreaser. Specific PVC cleaners must be diluted correctly, as overly strong cleaning agents and intense heat exposure can damage the profile.
