This Tessilmare Radial 65 outer PVC fender profile is the white, visible, and shock-absorbing part of the two-piece Radial 65 fender profile system. The profile protects the boat's hull/deck joint and is supplied as a 24 m coil that can be cut to the required installation length.
Radial 65 is a patented profile system where the soft, semi-rigid PVC profile is mounted over a separate, hidden track. This item includes only the outer profile. The required Radial 65 mounting track, item no. 44.065.05, is not included and must be ordered separately. The track is supplied in 2 m lengths and is attached to the hull with screws or blind rivets.
The loose PVC profile has an overall width of 62.2 mm and an external radius of R31.1 mm. Radial 65 is the nominal profile size, and the system's minimum bending radius is 80 mm. The profile weight is 1.22 kg/m, which corresponds to a net weight of approximately 29.28 kg for the entire coil.
During installation, the profile is pressed and rolled over the track's flanges, while the profile and track are oriented with the longest lip facing downwards. For Radial 65, the PVC profile must be preheated for 30-60 minutes at 40-60 °C or left in the sun for several hours. During installation, the profile is stretched approximately 2-3 cm per meter to achieve a tight fit, after which the ends are secured with one or two screws.
For fastening the separate track, A4/316L self-drilling flat head screws, Phillips no. 10, 9.5 mm head diameter, and 4.8 mm shank diameter can be used. Installation on completely flat surfaces should be clarified with Tessilmare, and radii sharper than the specified minimum radius require individual assessment.
The PVC surface can be cleaned with a liquid degreaser. Specialized agents for PVC must be diluted correctly, as aggressive or incorrectly diluted cleaning agents can damage the surface. Compatible finishing accessories include white end cap 44.055.01, stainless steel end cap 44.484.03, and stainless steel joiner 44.042.17.
