Tessilmare SPHAERA Slim PVC base for fender profile in size 25 is a white mounting base for the patented SPHAERA system. This slim version is supplied as a continuous 24 m roll and is placed between the boat's flat surface and the separate stainless steel SPHAERA 25 fender profile.
The base is made of PVC and features a design without a mounting lip, intended for installation on flat surfaces. The continuous roll can be cut to the required length, thereby reducing the number of visible joints along the installation. The minimum bending radius is 30 mm, and the material weight is 130 g/m.
For installation, the PVC base is first positioned and cut along the boat's surface. The separate, pre-drilled stainless steel profile is then screwed through the PVC base, securing both the profile and the base to the hull in a single operation. For sharp or difficult curves, a wooden template can be used as a bending form for the stainless steel profile.
The base is specifically designed for the Tessilmare SPHAERA 25 stainless steel fender profile, item no. 44.060.25. The stainless steel profile, joint covers, and end caps are not included and must be ordered separately. The joint cover 44.063.25 is used between the profile bars, while the end cap 44.064.25 is designed for the SPHAERA 25 with slim base.
During assembly, the separate joint covers keep the stainless steel profile bars aligned. At the ends, silicone can be applied to the profile end before the end cap is mounted, partially overlapping the end. The end cap should not be fastened from the side.
The complete SPHAERA construction combines the continuous PVC base with separate stainless steel profile sections. The system's modular design allows for the repair or replacement of individual parts without necessarily replacing the entire installation.
