This fuel hose with metal helix from THOR in the CARBOPOMP/M I5C series is designed for the transport of petrol, diesel, and biodiesel in fuel systems on recreational craft. This variant has an internal diameter of 38 mm, a nominal external diameter of 50 mm, and is supplied as a 10 m roll.
The hose features a smooth, black synthetic rubber inner tube and a flexible reinforcement with high-strength textile plies and an embedded metal helix. The black outer cover is made of self-extinguishing synthetic rubber and has a corrugated surface, which contributes to flexibility during installation. The outer cover is resistant to abrasion, heat, oil, fuel, and maritime environmental factors.
The construction is suitable for petroleum-based products with up to 50% aromatic content, biodiesel, and unleaded petrol with up to 15% oxygenated compounds and a maximum of 5% MTBE. The hose is E10/B10 compatible and intended for fuel supply to inboard engines on recreational boats up to 24 m in length.
CARBOPOMP/M I5C is certified according to EN ISO 7840:2021 class A1 and SAE J 1527:2011 USCG A1. The hose is also CE certified and approved by RINA and Lloyd’s Register. The RINA EC type certificate number is DIP169122CS/004.
This 38 mm variant has a minimum bend radius of 60 mm, a temperature range from -20 °C to +80 °C, and a documented burst pressure of over 10 bar. The weight is approx. 1.08 kg per meter.
