This exhaust silencer with water trap is intended for wet, water-cooled marine exhaust systems with a nominal hose connection of Ø40 mm. It combines damping of engine exhaust noise with a water trap function and is sized for engines up to 50 HP.
The silencer reduces exhaust noise with a minimum of back pressure. The internal volume of 5 litres collects cooling water and helps to prevent siphoning and backflow of water towards the engine when the engine is stopped.
The construction consists of reinforced rubber with acid-resistant stainless steel end pieces. The housing diameter is 160 mm, the total length is 420 mm, and the height is 190 mm. The supplementary dimension C is 250 mm and must be read in relation to the product's dimensional drawing.
The rotatable mounting brackets can be adjusted to the desired mounting position. When sizing and installing, the exhaust hose diameter, engine exhaust data, and available installation geometry must be checked.
