This Ultraflex tie-bar kit for dual cylinder/dual engine for UC130-SVS is model KIT OB-2C130-SVS-45 for SilverSteer™ hydraulic steering systems. The variant is intended for installations with an engine center distance of 724 mm and hydraulically connects two UC130-SVS steering cylinders.
The kit consists of two flexible high-pressure hoses with a length of 445 mm each. The hoses are Kevlar-reinforced and supplied with factory-fitted, crimped fittings with a swivel nut. They form a parallel hydraulic connection between the cylinders and must not be confused with a mechanical tie-bar between the engines.
During installation, the P-connection on one cylinder is connected to the P-connection on the other, and the S-connection to the S-connection accordingly. The fittings are tightened to 20 Nm using a 17 mm open-ended wrench. The minimum bend radius of the hoses is 250 mm; a smaller radius can damage the hoses internally and affect the function of the steering system.
The hoses must be routed without tension or contact with parts that could cause wear. At the same time, there must be sufficient freedom of movement for both engines to be trimmed and tilted independently. The hoses must not be shortened, and the factory-fitted fittings must not be replaced. After installation, the steering system must be bled according to the cylinder's procedure until the circuit is completely free of air.
The kit can be used in an installation with one steering station and dual cylinders. For two steering stations, the supplementary KIT OB-2S-SVS, item no. 43415Z, is used. The current manufacturer item number for the kit is 43618P; 43424A is a previously documented item number for the same model and dimensions.
