Ultraflex hydraulic hose kit with 2 flexible high-pressure hoses in the KIT OB series is designed for marine hydraulic steering systems. The kit consists of two hoses with a nominal length of 9 m each and connects the steering pump to the hydraulic steering cylinder.
The hoses have a nominal internal diameter of 5/16" and are supplied with pre-pressed brass fittings with swivel nuts. At one end, bend-limiting and reinforcement sleeves are fitted, which support the hoses at the connections.
The hose kit is intended for Ultraflex standard pumps with a relief valve set to 70 bar / 1000 psi. It must not be used for SilverSteer or MasterDrive systems with 105 bar / 1500 psi; these systems require a KIT OB-SVS hose kit.
The kit is compatible with the Ultraflex cylinders UC69-I, UC116-I, UC168-I, UC215-I and UC293-I, corresponding to item numbers 45.271.06, 45.284.01, 45.284.02, 45.284.03 and 45.284.05.
During installation, the hoses must be routed with smooth, gentle bends and a minimum bend radius of 250 mm. They must be kept away from heat sources, chemicals, and both fixed and moving components. Bulkhead penetrations must be protected, and the system must be kept free of dust, dirt, and debris. The port side of the pump is connected to the port side of the cylinder, and the starboard side is connected accordingly. The hose connections at the cylinder must be tightened to 20 Nm.
Hydraulic oil with item no. 45.027.01 is ordered according to system requirements. For an additional steering station or autopilot installation in a system with 5/16" hydraulic hose, the kit with item no. 45.290.15 can be used.
